My Software Links
My formal training is in Photography. I
began taking photographs at about the age of 15 or 16 when I
purchased my first 35MM Minolta SLR (SRT201). I was hooked. Today I am
doing professional work in my spare time and I shoot
mostly digital with some Medium format film work. My love for
photography evolved into a passion for creating 2D & 3D digital art.
My introduction into 2D and 3D computer software began in 1990 when
I realized the computer could help me achieve some of the digital
effects that were difficult to achieve on Film.
Then there were the many endless nights with coffee in one hand
and the mouse in the other while I read software manuals and plugged
away at the tutorials until I got something right. So enough of
the boring stuff about me, lets take a look at some of the 2D & 3D
software that I use to create the images you see on my website.
Bryce and Carrara by DAZ 3D
My first contact with 3D design and animation software began with
Fractual Design's Ray Dream Designer and
MetaCreations Bryce 3D landscape creation software. Ray Dream Studio
evolved into Carrara 3D and Bryce 3D is now DAZ Bryce 5 both software
programs I still use today and are now available from
DAZ 3D.
DAZ 3D is the leading 3D software and 3D content
companies on the WEB

My 3D art
Dragons Doom is featured on the DAZ 3D Bryce September 2005 gallery.
The image Dragons Doom took weeks to create using Bryce 5.5 Daz
studio and Poser 5 |

I think that Carrara 5 is the Swiss Army Knife of
the 3D programs. Use it for modeling, landscape creation,
animation and UV mapping. Has a fast render engine. |
e-On Software
In 1999 I purchased my first copy of Vue d'Esprit 3
E-On Software's award wining
3D scenery generator. This software is truly awesome. Currently I using version 5
and e-On keeps making it better and better. Oh Vue 6 is on its way and I
can't wait.
To see a quick video what this software can do, click

E-Frontier's Poser
e-Frontiers Poser is a 3D figure creation software.
Poser will allow me to integrate the human form into just about any of
my projects. I started with Poser 3 and have since upgraded to Poser 6.
It is a powerful program and will also let you animate any figure.
A work in progress come back soon....
